Inspirational Walk on Inisheer, Aran Islands, on Sunday, June 14th., 2015, to celebrate Saint Caomhan’s Pattern Day, La Fheile Chaomhain.
This event is being organised Coisceim Anama and Doolin2Aran Ferries.
Meeting point: Doolin Pier @ 09 30
Depart: Ferry to Inisheer @ 10 00
Starting point of walk: Inisheer Pier
Duration of walk: 5 hours approx.
Distance: 10km.
Grade: moderate, easy pace on waymarked trail of quiet roads and tracks.
Return journey: ferry to Doolin Pier @ 16.45 from Inisheer.
Cost: €30 ( including Doolin2Aran Ferry return ticket)
We recommend that you wear warm, waterproof clothing and boots or shoes with ankle support.
If desired, bring swim suit and towel as there may be time for a swim in the sea at the beach on Inisheer!
Bring a packed lunch , with extra food for a snack, and a bottle of water. There will be a stop for coffee/tea during the day.
