This 20km walk will take a scenic route from Cahir to Goatenbridge, at the foot of the Knockmealdown Mountains.
The group will gather in Goatenbridge at 9am in the morning at the car park in front of the Glen View Bar. Registration is in the lounge part of the premises.
At 10 am the group will get buses to Cahir
At 11 am the group will begin the walk from Cahir back to Goatenbridge on mainly scenic back roads. Estimated walk time is 3 to 4 hours depending on fitness levels and weather conditions.
The walk will complete at the Glen View Bar where there will be refreshments available.
Note:
We recommend trekking boots or sturdy runners for this walk. Remember, a good deal of it will be on tarmac roads.
Bring appropriate wet gear, this is summer in Ireland, there is always a chance of rain.
Bring a Fully Charged Mobile Phone – this is very important.
Bring any snacks or lunch you will need along the way, there are no shops on the route.
________
Cost for the event is €20 which includes buses, walk leaders, first aid & refreshments at walk end. Booking early online will earn you a €5 reduction so if you book now online it will cost just €15 – don’t delay, this is a limited time offer.
