Pilgrim and Miner Path to Glendalough – August 29th
Event Details:
An 11 km medium-difficulty walk along the ancient pilgrim path to Glendalough, passing through glorious landscape and the miners´ village. €5 for the bus to the starting point at Ballinagee.
To make your walk into a pilgrimage, we suggest you bring a stone with you and imbue it with your intention for the walk. Feel free to leave it by the Round Tower when you get to Glendalough. Also, allow moments of silence as you walk through breath-taking nature in the footsteps of our ancestors.
Additional Details: You must book in advance to get a place on the bus. Cost of bus is €5 per person. It is a way-marked way, so people can walk at their own pace. Some information on the path and the miners will be provided. Go n-éirí an bóthar linn.
